Machines not in use

These are machines I own but which I’m not using at this time. Maybe I will find a use for them at some point in the future. I occasionally try to brain-rain ideas for what to use them for.

Notes

I bought the ROCKPRo64 in January 2020, and I’ve used it quite a bit since then, for various things. I stopped using this board because some component on the board makes an annoying tinnitus-like ringing sound when power is applied to it.

I don’t recall exactly when I bought the Quartz64, but I estimate around 2022 or so. I was running NetBSD on it for a while, but for the most part I haven’t used it for any major homelab tasks. As of this time, the operating system selection is kind of lacking.

RetroPie

Notes

I’ve used this machine for other tasks in my homelab, but by far my favorite use for it was as a retro-gaming station with RetroPie.
